Charlie Brush

Charlie Brush has long-standing experience and expertise in real estate development, construction, brokerage, low income housing, and rental management. Charlie began his career in real estate development and construction in the late 70s when he bought and rehabbed his very first house in Middlebury, VT. He later moved into condominiums and apartment buildings, which led him to discover the Low Income Tax Credit Program and his passion for affordable senior housing. Since their first affordable senior project in 1995, Charlie and John together have developed nearly 1000 units of independent senior housing in VT, NH, and up-state NY.  A 1969 graduate of Middlebury College with a BA in Economics, he is a past president and board member of the Homebuilders Association of Northern Vermont, and was selected Builder of the Year by the Association in 1999. Charlie is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Vermont and has been involved in many real estate transactions since 1975. Charlie’s focus is property acquisition, permitting, property management, marketing, and leasing.

When not working with Summit, Charlie serves on the board of the Kelly Brush Foundation, as well as at Green Mountain Valley School. He spends his free time biking, skiing, and playing golf.
