New Avenue Apartments
New Avenue is bringing new life to downtown St. Johnsbury, VT. The prominent and historic building is located in the heart of downtown St. Johnsbury. The building was originally built in 1897 as the “New Avenue House” and at the time was a first-class hotel.
Fast forward to 2021 and Housing Vermont (now Evernorth), along with RuralEdge is working with Bread Loaf Corporation to gut and rehabilitate the entire building. This rehabilitation will bring 40 high quality, affordable apartments to St. Johnsbury and also includes commercial space on the ground floor.
